Recently, in the tower monitoring project along key railway lines undertaken by China State Railway Group Co., Ltd.,
the FG-WK100 wireless inclination sensor developed by Wuxi BWSENSING has been continuously deployed in large quantities.
The total deployment scale has now approached 10,000 units, comprehensively covering critical tower facilities such as signal towers
and catenary poles along railway sections including Chengde, Yangquan, Shijiazhuang South, and Handan West.
This large-scale deployment not only signifies the recognition of BWSENSING's technological capabilities within China's high-speed rail system
but also demonstrates the continuously growing competitiveness of China's cutting-edge technology in critical infrastructure sectors.
Embracing the Wave of Artificial Intelligence to Address Smart Railway Operations and Maintenance Needs
Tower poles along railway lines—including catenary poles, signal transmission towers, and power supply towers—serve as the “lifeline” ensuring train power supply and signal transmission. Long-term exposure to complex outdoor environments makes them susceptible to tilting and deformation caused by strong winds, heavy rains, and geological subsidence. Failure to detect such issues promptly may trigger safety incidents like catenary wire breaks or signal interruptions, directly threatening train operations. China Railway's core procurement objective is to establish an “all-weather, unmanned, high-precision” safety monitoring system for these dispersed towers. The technical capabilities of BWSENSING's FG-WK100 precisely align with this requirement.
In terms of product performance, the FG-WK100 has been deeply optimized for tower pole monitoring scenarios: First, its IP68-rated protection design perfectly suits the outdoor environments along railway lines, withstanding extreme temperatures from -40°C to +85°C. It operates reliably even in the frigid conditions of Chengde's mountainous regions and the dusty environments of Yangquan's mining areas. Second, its ultra-low power consumption and extended battery life address the challenges of dispersed tower locations and difficult maintenance. Equipped with a 19,000mAh high-capacity lithium-ion battery (with optional solar panel), the device can operate continuously for over three years while waking up once per hour to upload data, significantly reducing operational costs. Third, high-precision measurement and 4G real-time transmission enable “early detection and early warning.” Sensors capture minute inclination displacements of tower poles, with data transmitted in real time via 4G nationwide network to the cloud monitoring platform. Exceeding safety thresholds immediately triggers alerts, granting maintenance personnel critical response time.
Deeply Cultivating Niche Fields, Pioneering the Era of Perceptual Intelligence
As a national high-tech enterprise, BWSENSING has remained dedicated to the R&D and manufacturing of inertial attitude sensors since its establishment in 2010. Continuously innovating in multi-sensor fusion algorithms and hardware design packaging, it serves over 6,000 clients across intelligent equipment, autonomous driving, and IoT sectors.
As China's infrastructure matures and demand for management and maintenance grows, BWSENSING leverages its expertise in inertial technology to pioneer the era of perceptual intelligence. We have introduced intelligent sensors for bridge health monitoring, tower pole surveillance, building structural monitoring, and geological hazard detection—empowering traditional industries to transition toward artificial intelligence.
